You own your vault.
Payment processing for merchants that banks call hard to place. One application, merchant accounts matched to your vertical, and a card vault that is yours: tokenized cards, customer profiles and subscription data that move with you across processors, without re-enrolling a single customer.
No card or bank details are collected on this site. We read every application and reply by email; underwriting documents come later, through a secure link.
One signed package. The identity and business checks (KYC) are distributed across the processors and merchant accounts that fit your vertical.
Tokens, customer profiles and subscription schedules under your name. Export or move them whenever you choose.
Merchant accounts (MIDs) matched to what you sell, not a one-size-fits-all account that gets reviewed later.
Hard-to-place verticals are reviewed and priced individually, and the rate is in writing before you sign.
The vault
The processor is replaceable. Your vault is not.
Most processors hold your customers' cards inside their own system. Leave, and every subscriber has to enter a card again. With Sequence, cards are tokenized into a vault that belongs to you. Processors connect to the vault, not the other way round, so switching or adding one is a routing change, not a migration.
- PCI-tokenized cards. Raw card numbers never touch your systems.
- Customer profiles and subscription schedules stored alongside the tokens.
- Export at any time, in a documented format, with no exit fee for your own data.
How it works
One application. The right processors and merchant accounts for your vertical.
You fill in one package. We take it to the processors that actually underwrite what you sell, instead of sending you to apply three times and hoping.
Apply
Tell us what you sell, where you sell it, your volume and your history. If you have been declined or dropped elsewhere, say so. It changes where we take you, not whether we talk.
Underwriting
One identity and business (KYC) package, prepared once and distributed to the processors and merchant accounts that fit your vertical. You are not re-collecting documents for each one.
Go live
Merchant accounts provisioned, routing set, vault under your name. Connect through a hosted checkout, a direct API, or your existing commerce platform.
Routing
Every transaction takes the route most likely to approve.
With more than one merchant account behind your vault, each transaction can be routed by card type, region, ticket size and recent processor performance. A soft decline (one the issuer would approve on a retry) can retry through an alternative route where the card network rules allow it, and every decision is visible in your dashboard.
- Routing rules per card brand, country and amount.
- Retries on soft declines, within the card network rules.
- Volume spread across accounts so no single one carries everything.
Pricing
One rate for your vertical, in writing before you sign.
We do not publish a single headline rate, because the honest number depends on what you sell, where you sell it and your chargeback history. You get one rate for your vertical and the full fee schedule before you sign anything. Every fee on your statement is on the schedule you signed.
Included on every account
- A vault under your name, exportable at any time
- Merchant accounts matched to your vertical
- Routing across your accounts, with retries on soft declines
- Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Subscriptions and recurring billing
- Dispute management in your dashboard
- A named contact who knows your account
Hard-to-place verticals and edge cases are reviewed and priced individually.
Security
Built so raw card data never touches you.
Tokenized at capture
Your systems only ever see tokens
Cards are tokenized as they are entered. Your checkout, your CRM and your subscription logic work with tokens, which keeps your own PCI scope small.
A vault you own
Portable by design
Tokens, customer profiles and subscription schedules are held under your name. Moving to another processor is a routing change, and your data comes with you.
Every transaction screened
3-D Secure 2 and fraud screening
3-D Secure 2, the card networks' step-up verification, is available on your account, and transactions are screened for fraud before they are routed. Rules are tuned to your vertical, not a generic default.
Compliance documentation for the vault and processing infrastructure is provided during onboarding. Read the security overview.
Who we onboard
Built for businesses banks call hard to place.
We work with merchants who sell real products to real customers and keep getting a generic account that is reviewed after the first spike.
- Direct-to-consumer and subscription commerce
- Supplements and wellness
- Info products and coaching
- SaaS and digital services
- High-ticket sales
- Regulated and hard-to-place verticals, reviewed case by case
If you have been declined or terminated elsewhere, tell us why in the application. It changes which processors we take you to, not whether we take the conversation.
Apply
Tell us what you sell. We come back with a rate.
Nothing here commits you to anything. We read every application and reply by email.
- No card or bank details on this page. Underwriting documents come later, once, through a secure link.
- One rate for your vertical and the full fee schedule, in writing.
- Your answers are stored in our own systems and shared only with the processors we take your application to.
Received. We will reply by email.
Thank you. We read every application. If we need anything else before quoting a rate, we will ask by email rather than send you a generic form.
